Đảm bảo an ninh, an toàn dữ liệu & hoạt động thông suốt của Tập đoàn. Xây dựng chiến lược phát triển công nghệ thông tin theo định hướng phát triển của Tập đoàn. Xây dựng kế hoạch số hóa, các nền tảng, giải pháp & công nghệ phù hợp nhằm nâng cao năng suất & hiệu quả của Tập đoàn và các đơn vị thành viên;
Xây dựng, thiết kế, lập kế hoạch, triển khai các phần mềm hệ thống, phần mềm ứng dụng, các phần mềm hỗ trợ cho các hệ thống máy chủ, máy tính cá nhân, các thiết bị ngoại vi khác (thiết bị di động, v v…);
Lập kế hoạch bảo dưỡng định kỳ, sửa chữa, nâng cấp, mua mới các thiết bị máy tính, mạng… phục vụ công tác tại các phòng ban trong công ty;
Nghiên cứu, nắm vững các sản phẩm, công nghệ, giải pháp phần mềm, đề xuất ứng dụng các phần mềm, công nghệ mới;
Điều phối, tổ chức thực hiện công việc trong bộ phận. Đào tạo, hướng dẫn cho nhân viên về chuyên môn, nghiệp vụ;
Xây dựng và tiêu chuẩn hóa các hệ thống tài liệu cho các phần mềm ứng dụng, thiết bị máy tính và mạng;
Xây dựng các quy định, quy trình về vận hành và khai thác thông tin và các thiết bị công nghệ thông tin.
